Our mission is to create heirlooms — pieces that are cherished for generations, passed down through time, and become part of a family’s history. Here at Heirloom, our retail brand under the Hayes Lee Home Company, we do just that through carrying items that are well crafted, unique and timeless.
Inspired by her Great Aunt Susan and her Dad, Emma set out to create a brand that felt like family. She grew up going to her aunts house who was an avid family heirloom collector and helping her dad with DIY projects around the house. She believes that having a strong sense of home is a very important part of life and she wants to help create that for other people. A home should be a story, being able to be told as you walk through. Here at Heirloom we curate this feeling and help you find an easier pathway to creating a well collected special home.
Working in the design industry, Emma learned just how unsustainable it can be. With her brand, she set out to make the design industry a more sustainable place by refining items and giving them new life. She also runs a program that takes designer fabric Salesman Samples and sews them into throw pillows. This keeps the old collections out of the landfill.
A home is a reflection of you and the best place to display a cherished object is in a space that has good design. Here at Hayes Lee Home Co. we will help you create good design in your space before you fill it with goodies!
Hayes Lee Home Co. started in 2024 with the vision of creating spaces that people wanted to make their life memories in. Every space that Hayes Lee Home Co. designs has the goal of remaining timeless. We say, home interiors made for living, home interiors made for life. Making spaces that are functional for everyday life, beautiful and timeless that will remain so for a lifetime.
Emma likes to call her design style luxe antique. She enjoys a neutral palette with many natural textures. She draws a lot of inspiration from nature. The quality of finishes is very important to her. She loves architectural details and believes in restoring rather than renovating. She will often add millwork details to a blank space. Emma puts history first in her designs, remembering how a functional space would be used a long time ago often guides her into layout and design.
